Shipping policy

We currently deliver wine orders within South Africa only. For international shipping enquiries, please email winetasting@vergelegen.co.za.
Delivery Information
- Delivery takes 3 to 5 working days from receipt of payment.
- By law, alcohol may only be delivered to people 18 years or older. The recipient may be required to provide valid identification, such as an ID document, driver's license, or passport, upon delivery.
- We can only deliver to physical street addresses and cannot deliver to Post Office boxes.
- We recommend using a business address for delivery where possible as most deliveries take place between 08h00 and 17h00. A person needs to sign acceptance for all deliveries.
- If no one is available to accept delivery, our courier will leave a delivery notification and retain the order. If the order is returned to Vergelegen, any additional delivery costs will be for the customer's account.
- We make use of reliable and experienced 3rd party couriers. Vergelegen cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or circumstances beyond our control.
- For safer transport, we recommend ordering wine in multiples of 6 bottles.
- By placing an order, you consent to Vergelegen sharing the necessary billing and delivery information with our authorized delivery service providers to fulfil your order.
- All orders placed for collection can be collected from Vergelegen Wine Tasting Room upon receipt of the collection notification email.
Shipping Fees
- All orders of 11 bottles or less will be charged a standard shipping rate of R195 to main centres or R250 to non-main centres. Deliveries are free for 12 bottles or more.
- Outlying or dangerous areas may incur a surcharge.
- There is no fee for orders collected from our farm.
International Shipping
Online purchases through this store are available to South African customers only. Customers in Europe and other international markets can purchase Vergelegen wines through our approved distribution partners.

Returns & Refunds Policy
At Vergelegen, we take pride in the quality of our wines and products and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.
Returns
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please contact us within 30 days of delivery at winetasting@vergelegen.co.za, quoting your order number and details.
Unopened products may be returned for a full refund if:
- The incorrect product was supplied;
- The product arrived damaged; or
- The product is defective.
Refunds
Once the returned product has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email regarding the status of your refund.
Where approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refunds may take up to three weeks to reflect, depending on:
- Transit time for the return shipment;
- Return processing time; and
- Banking processing times.
